The 2020 Statewide Primary Election will be held on August 11, 2020 and the Statewide General Election will be held on November 3, 2020. Due to COVID, Washington County voters are encouraged to consider absentee voting this election year. Voters may request ballots now for both the Primary and General Elections. Voting by mail is safe, easy, and convenient. All voters may vote early in Minnesota, with no reason required. To request an absentee ballot by mail, a voter must complete the absentee ballot application form found on the Minnesota Secretary of State's website at

The City of Lake Elmo will have three offices on the ballot in November:  Mayor and two Councilmembers.
