Code Enforcement
The City of Lake Elmo’s code enforcement division’s primary goal is to ensure the community remains safe, healthy and a beautiful place to live and visit. Code enforcement staff is responsible for the implementation of many sections of the city's code of ordinances. Ordinances are local laws which exist to promote community standards and safeguard the quality of life for our residents and visitors. In many instances, residents are simply unaware of the city code requirements and correct the situation immediately. It is the goal of the City to work with residents to achieve abatement of violations.
