With the on-going rain and snow melting, the City has been receiving several inquiries regarding flooding on private property.
With Public Works staff focusing on the flooding issues within the City’s infrastructure, and the liability issues with City employees working on private property, sandbag materials are being made available at the Public Works building. If any residents are in need of sandbags, sand and bags can be filled and picked up at 3445 Ideal Ave., Lake Elmo, MN 55042. There will also be a few shovels for use to fill bags, but residents are also encouraged to bring their own shovel.
If you would like to report flooding within the City’s roadways, or on other City property, please call the Public Works Department at: (651) 747-3940. Please leave a message if no one is able to answer the phone.
